11 Weeks Today ---I LOVE being pregnant!!!!

ABOUT BABY...
The baby will double in size the over the next 3 weeks. External genitalia are beginning to show distinguishing features. Development of the fetus into a male or female will be complete in another 3 weeks. The baby's body is now about the size of my thumb. Arms and legs have grown and fingers and toes are now complete.Fingernails appear. From crown to rump the baby is now 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 inches long. and weighs about 0.3 ounce. about the size of a large lime.
HOW AM I FEELING...
I'm almost at the end of my first trimester. Which is a huge relief. I'm now in maternity clothes. Which is ok. I'm a bigger girl anyway so, the only thing that bothers me is I look farther along than what I am. But the clothes are comfortable and that's what matters. Speaking of my weight... I've been losing about 2 pounds a week. I'm not trying, it's just happening. I have it to spare that's for sure. Since my Dr's appt (I was 5 weeks 4 days at that time) til now(11 weeks) I've lost 13 pounds. I don't see any changes at all.
HOW IS DERRICK FEELING...
I know he is very happy about the baby. He wrote me the sweetest letter the other day just telling he's glad we get to do this together and even though the baby is not here yet that is love's Gummybear so much. That's his name for the baby. He said that's what it looked like on the sonogram.
THINGS TO ASK MY DR.... nothing
THINGS TO DO THIS WEEK... no energy... but lots to do.
HINTS FOR OTHER PREGOS... hang in there! This too shall pass. lol

10 Weeks Today

I'm so excited to finally be 10 weeks. I think it just had to due with my due date being changed. Time has gone by quickly though. The baby has grown SO much and is just about doubling in size every week. Which is just amazing. The heart beats at around 180 beats per minute to give the baby's body the energy it needs to change so much. It is the fastest the human heart will beat in it's life time. And baby Jones now has all it's features. Eyes, nose, ears, fingers and toes. All the while only about 1 1/2 inches long. I'm looking forward to seeing my tummy grow. And soon feel the baby move. I have been one of the very forturnate women to have a WONDERFUL pregnancies. I've had a little nausa. But no sickness. I would say the one thing I have had to get use to is my sleep. I'm still tired and need naps often and I don't sleep through the night. Maybe that's God's way of just getting me ready!

9 Week Today!!

Time is going by pretty fast. I think to myself wow I just found out 5 weeks ago.

About Baby...
baby Firecracker is now 1 to 1 1/4 inches long and about the size of a medium green ovlive. The arm's and legs have gotten longer. Arms now flex at sholder, elbow and wrist. Fingers are longer and the tips are slightly enlarged where touch pads are developing. The head is more straight and the neck is more developed. Eyelids almost cover the eyes. Ears are evident and well formed. Baby now moves it's body and arms and legs. (That's so cool!) Baby now looks more like a human but is still so small!

How am I feeling...
Still pretty good. Besides being tired alot. Still drinking water like a camel.

How's Derrick feeling... I've noticed some stress in his face the last couple of days. I'm not sure if it is work related or if he just needs some extra attention. We are going for our first sonogram next Thursday. He is off that day and I think I gonna take that day off too. Just to spend extra time with just him.

Things to ask my Dr....I'm wanting to know if the hospital will bank the blood from the cord. So that I can donate it.

Things to do this week... get Liz ready for school by going through her closet.

Special thoughts or feelings... I been thinking a lot about the baby. As far as how much it has grown and all the little details forming.

Crazy dreams... I had one scary dream that I had a miscarrage. I think every prego mom dreams this at least once.

Other hints for Pregos... For morning sickness my pregnant Dr. told me to take B-12.
They are also showing that it is good to take Omega3/ fish oil. It is good for the baby's brain development.
